Greaux the Good provides funding and administrative support to Louisiana farmers markets, farm stands, and other eligible entities to create or expand a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and/or a Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) incentive program. Shoppers that utilize food access benefit programs will receive a dollar-for-dollar match for SNAP/FMNP dollars they spend at Greaux the Good partner locations. Greaux the Good empowers families to purchase more fresh local foods and generates more business for local farmers.
The Greaux the Good program has recently added three new partners: German Coast Farmers Markets, Shreveport Farmers Market, and Stelly’s Organic Farm.
The addition of these three new partners has brought the total of Greaux the Good partners to ten. Current partner locations include:

Greaux the Good is operated by Market Umbrella, a nonprofit organization based in New Orleans that operates the Crescent City Farmers Markets and several fresh food access programs. This program was made possible through funds allocated in the 2022-2023 state budget, which set a precedent for state support of farmers markets in Louisiana.
